Lesson one of our FREE online piano course for beginners wanting to learn how to play the piano, presented to you by ABRSM Examiner Gareth Green. In this video you will discover how to sit at the piano, and the layout of the piano keyboard will be explained so you know the pattern of the keys enabling you to find notes easily. The musical alphabet (A-G) is explained and you’ll quickly begin to relate written notes on the musical stave to notes on the piano. Locating notes from Middle C is explained and by the end of the lesson you’ll be playing your first duet. Let’s get started!
