FREE Piano Lessons For Beginners (Level 1) – Lesson 33

Learn how to do and practice preparatory exercises to acquire speed, precision, agility and strength in the fingers of both hands as well flexibility of the wrists.

Exercise 2 in Hanon “The Virtuoso Pianist, Part 1,” gives special training to the 3rd and 4th fingers of both hands. Both hands receive similar practice because the problems of the left hand in ascending are executed by the right hand in descending.

Remember to follow the instructions on how to use the Finger Patterns for both hands. Lastly, always lift the fingers high enough in order to play each note distinctly.
